Frequently Asked Questions - FAQ
1. How can I be sure the listing shown is for the same person I am interested in?
Unfortunately, no Australian court website records a DOB or a person's address, so it is not possible to match any additional data that isn't already shown on this site.
However, click on Question 2 (below) to obtain details of additional sites that can be searched.

2. Is there a way to obtain additional information about a court record on this site?
We have another site that shows criminal court attendance records - Australian Criminal Court Records.

3. Some of the data seems a little "obvious" - Jim / James, Mike / Michael
We agree. However, whilst these records are only a very small percentage of our data, the difficulty with removing some of the more obvious name variation records is that this would need to be done manually, which would take quite a bit of time.
In addition, some users might find those particular records useful in establishing a direct (more 'official') connection between two names. For example, you might know someone as Joe XXXX, but is "Joe" his full and correct name or is it "Joseph". If you searched for either Joe or Joseph XXXX and found an alias listing for both names with say an extra middle name, then you would be one step closer to a correct identification.

4. Can I have my name removed from database.
No. That would compromise the integrity of the database.
